Hunting photos
Here are some pictures of our hunting experiences that we thought you might
enjoy
Kandice & her 4th Grade teacher, Milt Barnum and I
went turkey hunting, spring of 2003. She does a very
good hen call without any tools.
No, he's not my brother. We are just hunting
and fishing buddies.
Spring turkey season can be a beautiful
experience even without harvesting a bird.
It can also be dangerous as this 5' long
diamond back rattlesnake that I encountered
walking out of the woods shows. Be prepared
for the these kind of situations and having
good reflexes doesn't hurt either. I was a little
more than 3 ft. away when he started rattling.

Hooded Merganser harvested by Omar Cotter
during Duck season in the Paris Texas area on
Public Hunting Land and the mount was done
at Alpine Taxidermy after sitting in my freezer
for 4 years..
Jim Schaefer harvested this nice Pin Tail on
the Waterfowl Adventure Hunt guided by Bay
Prairie Outfitters in the salt marshes for the
Gulf. This bird was almost one of the ones that
got away, thanks to steel shot. It was about a
200 yrd retrieve. Mount was also done at
Alpine Taxidermy.
Being a friend of a Texas Parks & Wildlife
"Big Time Texas Hunt"   winner is a great
experience.

The first Texas deer that I harvested was a
management doe at "The Big Woods" near
Palestine. I had to stalk this one and shot it from
250 yards.
