Eleven 3,000 point Rifle Awards for were given to William Tatsch Jr., Derick Hollowell, Jim Schaefer, Raul Mendez, Daniel Sanchez, Charles Good, Ferris Bavousett, Claude Hicks Jr., Charles Snowden and Phil Brakebill. | The 2006 Annual Conference and Awards Banquet was held at the Fredonia Hotel in Nacogdoches, Texas on February 17th, 18th. And the quarterly THEIA meeting was on the 19th. The weather got nasty that weekend but we had a good turn out in spite of the winter weather. |
| For those who could make it on Friday there was a Barbeque and mixer for people to get to know each other. Saturday morning started off with breakfast and then Opening Ceremonies. The Sheriff’s Department provided the Color Guard for posting the Colors and a County Judge was the key note speaker. The Sheriff and several local Game Wardens were also guests.. |
| During the day there seminars on Alligator Wildlife Management, Trapping , How Game Laws and Administrative Orders are Enacted and a session of meet the Game Wardens in the Afternoon.. The evening Awards Banquet had good attendance of about sixty people. A delicious dinner was served while a Silent Auction was in progress around the sides of the room. After the meal the fun began with a live auction after the Service Awards presentations.. |
